CMS Wire: WebAction Secures $20M, Rebrands Platform

Wilkes comments that they created WebAction in order to help businesses deal with the enormous volumes of data by delivering insights into it in real time. In order to do this, they needed to provide an end-to-end platform that handles both data integration and streaming analytics of data in motion. Why is this important? Well, according to Wilkes, it’s because you can’t analyze fast data until you’ve ingested and processed it properly.

To underline this point, Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital, comments on how WebAction has solved the challenge of real-time data integration and coupled it “with an easy-to-use streaming intelligence solution” — a potentially disruptive combination.
