Managing validation runs
This topic describes the run-time activities involved in executing validations and interpreting their outcomes. You will learn how to start a validation, monitor its progress in real time, receive alerts, and review the resulting reports to determine whether your source and target datasets are in sync.
For information about creating and modifying validations, see Configuring a validation.
This section covers the following topics:
Running a validation: Start validations manually or on a recurring schedule, pause and resume scheduled executions, cancel active runs, monitor progress through the live validation report and message log, and configure alerts for email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
Reporting the results: Understand the reporting hierarchy, observe historical trends, and access and interpret validation reports and validation pair reports.
Reconciling out-of-sync records: Download and execute SQL-based reconciliation scripts to align out-of-sync target tables with their source.
