Configure Slack alerts

Before Slack can receive alerts from Validata, you must create and install a Slack app.

Configure Slack to receive alerts from Validata

  1. Log in to https://api.slack.com/

  2. Select Create New App → From scratch

  3. Provide an App Name and choose a workspace

  4. Navigate to OAuth & Permissions

  5. Configure the following scopes:

    • bot token scopes:

      • chat:write

      • chat:write.public

    • user token scopes:

      • chat:write

  6. Under Settings, click Install App and then click Allow

  7. Copy and store the generated OAuth Access Token securely

  8. (Optional, Recommended) Enable refresh tokens in Validata for authentication renewal

Configure Validata to send Slack alerts

  1. Select Alerts, select Slack as the channel, and click Configure Slack.

  2. Provide the required configuration details.

  3. Click Validate Token to verify the configuration.

  4. If the test is successful, click Save.

  5. Click Edit Configuration.

  6. Add the Recipient Slack Channel Name.

  7. Click Save.

    You can see the result "Recipient Slack Channel Name" SUCCESS.

Once configured, alerts will begin appearing in the specified Slack channel.
