Security and networking for Striim Cloud

Striim Cloud supports the following networking options to securely connect to your sources and targets. Your selection of a particular networking option will depend on your network requirements and security policies, and which cloud service provider hosts your Striim Cloud service.

  • IP whitelisting for Striim Cloud : IP whitelisting may be appropriate when you want to enforce access control by restricting access to a specific IP address, while blocking all others. Striim Cloud supports IP whitelisting on AWS, Azure, and Google.

  • Using an SSH tunnel: Using an SSL tunnel may be appropriate when you require secure remote access over an encrypted channel. Striim Cloud supports SSH tunnel connectivity on AWS, Azure, and Google.

  • Using private networking to connect securely while eliminating exposure to the public internet: This connectivity option may be appropriate when you want to ensure that traffic to your services remains within your private networking and isolated from the public internet.

For more information on private networking support for your cloud service provider, see:

You can also use private networking with a Striim Forwarding Agent. This connectivity option may be appropriate when the customer does not want the Striim service to read directly from a database by initiating the network traffic. You may want to use an agent to push traffic to the Striim service. See:
