Getting started

To get started with Striim for BigQuery:

  1. Configure a BigQuery service account: assign roles to a service account and download a key Striim can use to connect

  2. Configure your source: enable change data capture and create a user account for use by Striim

  3. Choose how Striim will connect to your database: allow Striim to connect to your source database via an SSH tunnel, a firewall rule, or port forwarding

  4. Subscribe to Striim for BigQuery: deploy Striim for BigQuery from the Google Cloud Marketplace

  5. Create a Striim for BigQuery service: in the Striim Cloud Console, create a Striim for BigQuery service

  6. Create a pipeline: follow the instructions on screen to create your first pipeline
